Anima Moondi!

So, really great news this past weekend. My short "Papercut" got picked as part of the competitive selection in the Anima Mundi festival.

The reason why I'm so excited is that Anima Mundi is the largest animation festival in Brasil (and, if I'm not mistaken, the whole of Latin America too). And, being a Brazilian myself, this is the festival I've been attending for years. It's where I got exposed to the work of some of my favorite animators. Heck, it's where I first saw "Au Bout Du Monde", one of the best shorts ever made.

I'm really happy and more than humbled to be among all these super-talented animation heroes of mine. Makes me almost want to hide my silly little student film. But hey, they got free cocktails. So I'm definitely attending.

Edit:
many, many thanks for Jeff at the VFS Blog for the plug. Just awesome.

And now: Smurfs.

I wanted to know if you'd be interested in working with me on a project for this Aniboom Fox animation contest?

The project is called "The Frugal Family".

I'm currently working as a writers assistant, exec. producers assist and script coordinator on a new show for Comedy Central that will be airing in the fall after South Park on wednesday.

let me know - shoot me an email, I'll explain the project and send you a script - details on deal as well (50-50):
